The majority of running injuries occur from overtraining. With a careful and gradual increase in your running you should be able to avoid many overtraining injuries. What I like to emphasize is that you should stay away from the "terrible twos": too much, too soon, too often, too fast, too hard combined with too little rest.

The following mechanics and form should be kept in mind and/or mimicked when doing all sprint drills and exercises.
